ROSIE'S ONION
So many of you have taken an interest in some of the research data that is displayed at our training kitchen on the wall and in newspaper form.
Researcher and data artist Rosie spent time with us carving out the path of a trainee visually. And later as a part of her masters degree put her findings into the form of print newspaper; on young people's experience RE: employment, housing, support services, the benefit system and more.
It shows the barriers they begin with to the opportunities and networks we see them move into.... Rosie's voluntary work became the back bone of our impact report. Helping us to see the visual journey of a trainee.
It so naturally and organically started taking the form of an allium which was a perfect representation for our training kitchen & garden. The allium of hope, of sewing seeds, or as we often call it "Rosie's onion" that sits on our wall in the cafe. Come check it out!
