Rain or shine.
Our training café can be found on the site of the Tracey Emin Foundation. We gratefully sit in the small red brick building beyond the gates. We rely on our community near and far to support what we do by visiting us and trying the dishes we’ve made with the trainees. Our regular daily menu can be seen below. But depending on the seasons or which guest-chef we have supporting us that week, we will have various specials on the board.
Walk-ins only unless you would like to book an evening supper with us as a special event for your Christmas doo or birthday parties. Email the main inbox for our catering pack for pricing and availability.
Our training cafe is open Tuesday to Friday 9am-3pm.
The hub of support, the trainees learn dishes, how to make coffee, and practice communication and confidence through front of house training. Your custom provides valuable interactions, a chance to put training into practice and supports the project as a whole. Every penny goes straight back into what we do.
WHY A CAFE?
We realised the young people we support benefit from working on a regular basis in a professional environment and that cooking and serving lovely customers on a daily basis helps us move them into sustainable employment more readily, Which of course is our ultimate goal here at The Perfect Place to Grow.
With this in mind we have decided to open a café, Tuesday-Friday, to help teach, train and support the young people – and, if you all come down, support us and hopefully enjoy what we are doing – we will also open Saturdays in the near future. The cafe celebrates the diversity of modern British influences – cooked and served with our trainees.
It will be open to you all between 9-3pm (Tuesday-Friday) and will be filled with food from all over the world, from breakfasts to curries, cooked with love by fantastic local and international chefs (and of course the trainees) celebrating what we believe is the incredible diversity of both Margate and the UK.
Please come down and support us, see what we are doing to help support young people into employment and eat some very, very tasty food.
